The energy efficiency of EDF’s supercritical power plant technology is on full display at the fossil fired DSPC power plant in Henan.
EDF owns a 35% stake in the Datang Sanmenxia Power Generation Co., Ltd (DSPC), a joint venture that also includes Datang Group (60%) and Chinese partner, Sanmenxia City Investment Company (5%).
The DSPC power plant in Henan province is based on the supercritical technology, with construction starting in 2004 and completed in 2006.
The joint-venture is responsible for the operation, maintenance and fuel supply at the coal-fired power plant.
