EDF’s joint venture at the Fuzhou power plant in Jiangxi demonstrates the perfect mix of experience and cutting-edge technology.
Jiangxi Fuzhou is EDF’s first investment in an ultra-supercritical (USC) power plant. This technology ensures a very high efficiency level and a significantly lower environmental impact (Nox, Sox and dust) when compared to conventional fossil fired power plants.
44% vs 35%
Fuzhou USC power plant efficiency compared to a conventional coal power plant
The Fuzhou power plant (2 x 1000 MW) set a national record for construction, with the commissioning of both units taking place five months ahead of schedule and just 22 months after the concrete was first poured.
