First sino-foreign offshore project in China, signed with CEI on the occasion of an official visit of the Chinese president in France
The cooperation agreement signed during the official visit of the Chinese president in France in March 2019, the agreement establishes the partnership with the Chinese power utility China Energy Investment Corporation (CEI), seeking to jointly deliver two offshore wind power projects in China.
This partnership is part of EDF’s CAP 2030 strategy, the Group is aiming to double its renewables capacities worldwide between 2015 and 2030 to reach 60 GW nets

The EDF Group is delighted to strengthen its historical positions in China through the completion of the Dongtai offshore wind project together with our Chinese partner, CEI. We are committed to supporting the country achieve its energy goals and to furthering the development of decarbonized energy. This new Dongtai V offshore wind project represents another step forward for the EDF Group’s CAP 2030 strategy, which aims to double its net installed energy capacity worldwide from 28 GW in 2015 to 60 GW in 2030.
