As a global leader in low-carbon energy and a provider of innovative solutions and services for the power and energy industries, EDF is committed to building a "zero-carbon energy" future for mankind on a global scale.
EDF is convinced that the low-carbon transition of the energy industry requires the efforts of everyone. At present, EDF has formed an open innovation network composed of more than 8,000 start-ups and set up a venture capital fund with an annual investment capacity of 30 million euros.
Since 2014, EDF has founded the "EDF Pulse" innovation program and launched competition in France, United Kingdom, Brazil, India and Africa. Over the past nine years, more than 80 companies have been selected from 2,200 candidates to receive EDF's support in areas such as funding and publicity.
In 2023, the EDF Pulse came back to China with an upgraded co-creation program, looking for Chinese science and technology companies with innovative solutions in the three fields of “virtual power plant”, “green hydrogen” and “internet of carbon”, to work together with EDF experts and mentors from upstream and downstream industries to create new solutions and explore new opportunities through a POC model. The EDF Pulse innovation competition was firstly held in China in 2021.
With China's vision of becoming carbon neutral by 2060, EDF looks forward to working closely with China's innovative community to promote collaborative innovation and contribute to China's low-carbon transition.
