As a global leader in low-carbon energy and a provider of innovative solutions and services for the power and energy industries, EDF is committed to building a "zero-carbon energy" future for mankind on a global scale.

EDF is convinced that the low-carbon transition of the energy industry requires the efforts of everyone. At present, EDF has formed an open innovation network composed of more than 8,000 start-ups, and set up a venture capital fund with an annual investment capacity of 30 million euros.

Since 2014, EDF has launched the "EDF Pulse" competition in France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Africa and India. Over the past six years, more than 80 companies have been selected from 2,200 candidates to receive EDF's support in areas such as funding and publicity.

In 2021, for the first time, the EDF Pulse competition was held in China which was named ‘Energy creates the future’ in Chinese. The competition seeks to find Chinese science and technology companies with innovative solutions in the three fields: ‘smart grid’, ‘smart city’ and ‘smart living’.

With China's vision of becoming carbon neutral by 2060, EDF looks forward to working closely with China's innovative community to promote collaborative innovation and contribute to China's low-carbon transition.
